Exciting news, lavender lovers! We are overjoyed to share that Two Bees Lavender has found its forever home at Clifton, a breathtaking 240-year-old Georgian estate in Kilmarnock, VA. This historic property, with its rich past and deep community ties, is about to be transformed into a thriving lavender farm and tranquil gathering place.

This marks a major milestone for Two Bees Lavender, and we can’t wait to welcome you to experience the beauty, serenity, and magic of lavender at Clifton!

Why Clifton? A Perfect Match for Our Lavender Vision

Clifton’s story dates back to the late 1700s, when it was built by Landon Carter—the grandson of Robert “King” Carter. Passed down through generations of the Palmer and Hudnall families, this historic estate carries a deep sense of tradition, resilience, and connection—values that align beautifully with our vision for Two Bees Lavender.

“Clifton represents what we value as a family and as a business,” says Stacey Noll, co-founder and creative force behind Two Bees Lavender. “Its rich history and deep community connections provide the perfect foundation for our vision. We’re honored to preserve its legacy and transform it into a place of natural beauty and connection where people can relax, celebrate, and enjoy the serenity of lavender.”

With 127 acres of pristine Virginia countryside, Clifton is the perfect place to plant over 8,000 lavender plants this year—creating a peaceful oasis where guests can reconnect with nature, unwind, and make lasting memories.

Preserving History While Cultivating Growth

We feel a profound responsibility to honor Clifton’s history while bringing new life to the property. While its timeless architecture and historical significance will remain a cherished part of the estate, Clifton is about to bloom in a whole new way!

From the moment you step onto the property, you’ll be greeted by the soothing scent of lavender and the gentle hum of bees—creating an experience that is as calming as it is inspiring. The beauty of nature will take center stage, blending the charm of history with the tranquility of lavender fields.

Bringing the Community Together at Clifton

Clifton won’t just be a farm—it will be a destination for special moments and shared experiences. We are excited to offer:

  • Seasonal lavender picking & farm tours
  • Workshops on lavender’s many uses—culinary, wellness, and crafting
  • Small group gatherings and intimate celebrations
  • Weddings and special events in a stunning, nature-filled setting
  • A boutique featuring handcrafted lavender-based products

We are beyond grateful for the warm welcome from the Kilmarnock community. Sharon Phillips, Economic Development Coordinator for the Town of Kilmarnock, shares our excitement:

“Having a locally owned lavender farm offering year-round holistic, culinary, and boutique retail experiences within walking distance of Kilmarnock’s charming Main Street adds a unique and enriching element for locals and visitors alike. Two Bees Lavender enhances Kilmarnock’s appeal as a Main Street destination.

Our hearts are full, knowing that Clifton will be a place of joy, connection, and lavender-infused memories for all who visit!
